25 years changed Thailand. Up until the 90s, if a Thai woman didn't get married by age 35, she'd die a spinster. (Thai men rule in this regard; they don't chase old women -- unlike their western counterparts who can't wait to get down on their knees for yesterday's breakfast.)I'll be hitting a less tourist-polluted country next, searching for the sweet, simple girls who populated Thailand's up country villages in the 80s.
