I have to say you are right, Calpurnia. Some people just don't know boundaries, and they should. I am very glad that you don't regret anything. It's high time somebody said it. Thank you, for me. I had a great time watching it.

That said, I can't imagine how obnoxious it would be to have folks feeling that they can ask you about your body, your private life and your intimacy on a daily basis without knowing you at all! Holy crap, when I was in a high school health class I remember vividly a boy from half way across the room asking me if redheads have red pubic hair. I was so embarrassed I would have disappeared off the face of the earth that very moment, and that's just hair! It still ruined 14-year-old Noel's day.

This was a great follow-up video. You are wonderfully eloquent and you seem so approachable that surely you will continue to have trouble with well-meaning folks who are just genuinely curious about transsexuals asking you questions. And I have to say, I'd be glad they're asking you because you can clearly handle it, you're confident and knowledgeable and you can explain to them their lack of tact, rather than asking someone who is overly eager to please, as you mentioned in your previous video.

I dunno how I came across this video but I just had to say that your voice reminds me of Drew Barrymore from Never Been Kissed...you`re soft spoken and its a similar accent. Maybe I`m crazy. :/

The background music is culled from old instructional classroom films.

Every one of my "Bad Questions" and my responses to them comes with absolutely no regrets. People have been searingly rude, dismissive and hurtful without the slightest thought that I might deserve any consideration before they speak whatever might be on their wrongheaded minds. The point of my "anesthesia" response IS that it is a poorly phrased question. On top of that lack of consideration, they are asking a stranger about a very personal procedure. People are horrible.

It sounds like you were kinda hurt by negative responses to your original video. I think part of the problem was the order in which the bad questions were presented. I think that if you had started with the pure questions and then did the ones that ended with ...s, I think it would have been more clear what you intended. But, I think the Anesthesia one is what rubbed people the wrong way. Whether your surgery hurt might be a poorly phrased question, but you must know what they really meant

Your video was amazing, can I ask what is the title of the background music? roflYou shouldn't change what you said, everything you said was how you wanted to express yourself at the time, if people are offended by it, then they can just click to another video, lol. |
